Guide to Skimmers
You may be familiar with the concept of a skimmer from a traditional pool, where they are set into the pool walls and are accessed via a hatch in the pool deck. Skimmers made for natural pools and ponds are similar, except they are designed to work with a pond liner. The skimmer is hooked up to the suction side of the plumbing system and works by pulling water in through its mouth and collecting any debris it pulls in (like leaves, sticks and algae) in an inner net.
