This non-toxic dye keeps water clear and provides shade for UV rays, which can help reduce algae growth. Each one-gallon dye bottle treats up to one surface acre with an average depth of 4' - 6' feet deep for several months (or about 3 Tablespoons per 20,000 gallons). No mixing is required, the dye can be poured directly from the shoreline, and it is safe for all aquatic life. We recommend applying it early in the spring and then add it as needed to shade the water (but not lose water clarity).
